You should check with Graco and see if they still have the new pump deal. I bought mine in June and purchased a new pump for $200.

Yeah, In the back of the brochure it mentioned something about a second pump at 85% off or a free packing kit. I was curious and I plan on asking about it. They didn't mention it when I made the machine order. Thanks! ACE

Graco bucks & the Endurance Pump promo are a couple of excellent deals to take advantage of. Go for the spare pump you are saving over a Grand if you had to buy one, On the Graco bucks I found the hopper and the light were good choices to make.

Allied, You should try a bigger tip like a 319 yellow. A 315 does not put down much paint. I would bet it clogs quite a bit as well. Wilth a 315 you must have to walk slow. Just some friendly advice no offence to your operation. Jon

teach yourself to paint with the gun at the rear wheel when possible.use a short pointer and you will like the results.i use a 319 tip for a 4" line.next time out i may try a 321 and go a little faster.

I went back to using a .315 the other day, the clogging happened only twice, but we could have used a finer mesh filter which probably would have saved us. Another thing, we don't use oil-based but remember the point that it doesn't clog thru tips like water-based...of course we do know why.

So Eric the pump costs $1200? I'd be crazy not to get it at that kinda deal. But, how often does a pump go out? Or should I say, how many gallons is it rated for before you need to replace the packings or the pump itself. Just curious, I'm in the early stages of owning a 3900. Thanks, ACE

There is no set time frame for the pumps, they can go for years with no problems. I had one last for two weeks, a small piece of dried paint got into my pump and tore my packings apart, Keep a spare screen handy for your pick-up tube they wear out on the bottom of your paint pails.

I think the 5900 is about $1200 more than the 3900.
