Hmmmm....let me take a few swats at the right wing hornet's net....Mwuahahahahaha...I am leaving town for a few days, Lil Georgie's apologists can slag me all they want. RESUME GEORGE W. BUSH 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Washington, DC 20520 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE LAW ENFORCEMENT I was arrested in Kennebunkport, Maine, in 1976 for driving under the influence of alcohol. I pled guilty, paid a fine, and had my driver's license suspended for 30 days. My Texas driving record noting this incident was "lost" and is not available to the public. MILITARY I joined the Texas Air National Guard and went AWOL. I refused to take a drug test or answer any questions about my drug use. By joining the Texas Air National Guard, I was able to avoid combat duty in Vietnam. COLLEGE I graduated from Yale University with a low C average. I was a cheerleader. I received a BS in History with a minor in pharmaceuticals. PAST WORK EXPERIENCE I ran for U.S. Congress and lost. I began my career in the oil business in Midland, Texas, in 1975. I bought an oil company, but couldn't find any oil in Texas. The company went bankrupt shortly after I sold all of my stock. I bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal that took land using taxpayer money. With the help of my father and our friends in the oil industry, including Enron CEO Ken Lay, I was elected governor of Texas. ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS GOVERNOR OF TEXAS I changed Texas pollution laws to favor power and oil companies, making Texas the most polluted state in the Union. During my tenure, Houston replaced Los Angeles as the most smog-ridden city in America. I cut taxes and bankrupted the Texas treasury to the tune of billions in borrowed money. With the help of my brother, the governor of Florida, and my father's appointments to the Supreme Court, I became President after losing an election by over 500,000 votes. ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT I am the first President in U.S. history to enter office with a criminal record. I invaded and occupied two countries at a continuing cost of over one billion dollars per week. I spent the U.S. surplus and effectively bankrupted the U.S. Treasury. I shattered the record for the largest annual deficit in U.S. history. I set an economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in any 12-month period. I set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12-month period. I set the all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the U.S. stock market. In my first year in office, over 2 million Americans lost their jobs and that trend continues every month. I'm proud that the members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in U.S. history. My "poorest millionaire," Condoleezza Rice, had a Chevron oil tanker named after her. I set the record for most campaign fund-raising trips by a U.S. President. I am the all-time U.S. and world record-holder for receiving the most corporate campaign donations. My largest lifetime campaign contributor, and one of my best friends, Kenneth Lay, presided over the largest corporate bankruptcy fraud in U.S. History, Enron. My political party used Enron private jets and corporate attorneys to assure my success with the U.S. Supreme Court during my election decision. I have protected my friends at Enron and Halliburton against investigation or prosecution. More time and money was spent investigating the Monica Lewinsky affair than has been spent investigating one of the biggest corporate rip-offs in history. I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history and refused to intervene when corruption involving the oil industry was revealed. I presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history. I changed the U.S.policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts. I appointed more convicted criminals to administration than any President in U.S. history. I created the Department of Homeland Security, the largest bureaucracy in the history of the United States government. I've broken more international treaties than any President in U.S. history. I am the first President in U.S. history to have the United Nations remove the U.S. from the Human Rights Commission. I withdrew the U.S.from the World Court of Law. I refused to allow inspectors access to U.S. "prisoners of war" detainees and thereby have refused to abide by the Geneva Convention. I am the first President in history to refuse United Nations election inspectors (during the 2002 U.S. election). I set the record for fewest numbers of press conferences of any President since the advent of television. I set the all-time record for most days on vacation in any one-year period. After taking off the entire month of August in 2001, I presided over the worst security failure in U.S. history. I garnered the most sympathy for the U.S. after the World Trade Center attacks and less than a year later made the U.S. the most hated country in the world, the largest failure of diplomacy in world history. I have set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously protest me in public venues (15 million people), shattering the record for protests against any person in the history of mankind. I am the first President in U.S. history to order an unprovoked pre-emptive attack and military occupation of a sovereign nation. I did so against the will of the United Nations, the majority of U.S. citizens, and the world community. I cut health care benefits for war veterans and support a cut in duty benefits for active duty troops and their families -- in wartime. In my State of the Union Address, I lied about the reasons for attacking Iraq and then blamed the lies on our British friends. I am the first President in history to have a majority of Europeans (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and security. I am supporting development of a nuclear "Tactical Bunker Buster," a WMD. I have so far failed to fulfill my pledge to bring Osama Bin Laden to justice "dead or alive." RECORDS AND REFERENCES All records of my tenure as governor of Texas are now in my father's presidential library at Texas A & M, sealed and unavailable for public view. All records of SEC investigations into my insider trading and my bankrupt companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view. All records or minutes from meetings that I, or my Vice-President, attended with executives of energy and oil companies regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public review. I am a member of the Republican Party which has blindly supported me in all of my efforts. Please consider my record when voting in the 2006 mid-term elections. Mwuahahaha, Liberals, duck and cover, the s***storm is about to begin

BTS, I believe that was all a secret and you weren’t supposed to talk about it. I’m sure all of the information you just mentioned will soon be classified and it will cease to exist. In time the public will forget and blame all of the countries diplomatic and financial troubles on the next Democrat president.

Here's a video of Matt Lauer interviewing the President about torture and secret prisons. The interesting thing is that folks who watch this have their opinions reinforced. Whether you support the President, or you are opposed to the actions of ChimpyBushitler McHalliburton, you will come away convinced you are right. At least he wasn't accused of rape, perjury or sexual harassment.

I joined the Texas Air National Guard and went AWOL.

The record doesn't show that, infact it shows that he exceeded the required training time.

I refused to take a drug test or answer any questions about my drug use.

Nothing unusual for a public figure.

BornToStripe wrote on Sep 12, 2006:Go to #21

By joining the Texas Air National Guard, I was able to avoid combat duty in Vietnam.

No service was exempt from combat service in Vietnam, although John Kerry did admit that he signed up for the swift boats because he didn't think that boats would be used in a jungle war, Kerry is also the only soldier to receve the Purple heart for a mosquito bite.

I bought an oil company, but couldn't find any oil in Texas.

He bought a drilling company, drillers don't look for oil they just drill where the exploration company says.

BornToStripe wrote on Sep 12, 2006:Go to #21

The company went bankrupt shortly after I sold all of my stock.

The company went bankrupt because of the heavy restrictions on drilling put on by the democrates in congress, if a company can't do work then it can't stay in business.

BornToStripe wrote on Sep 12, 2006:Go to #21

I bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal that took land using taxpayer money.

Buying a business in a sweetheart deal is not bad, the taking of land is a problem and we are working on getting eminent domain laws changed here, the Dallas Cowlosers are doing the same thing.

With the help of my father and our friends in the oil industry, including Enron CEO Ken Lay, I was elected governor of Texas. A

ctually, Texas was ready to tar and feather Ann Richerds, Bush could have won without campain money. Also, would you expect a father not to help his son? Ken Lay was running his business honestly at the time.

BornToStripe wrote on Sep 12, 2006:Go to #21

A change in Texas law can't change EPA regulations and Texas is not the most polluted, you should spend some time in LA.

I am the first President in U.S. history to enter office with a criminal record.

And Clinton was the first to be accused of rape, perjury, obstruction of Justice and sexual harassment. A miner DUI pales in comparison.

So did Truman.

BornToStripe wrote on Sep 12, 2006:Go to #21

I spent the U.S. surplus and effectively bankrupted the U.S. Treasury.

Never was a surplus, if you think that the Congressional budget for this year is for this years spending then you don't under political budgeting, there is a reason that every bu get is for a ten year projection, it's called deception.

BornToStripe wrote on Sep 12, 2006:Go to #21

I shattered the record for the largest annual deficit in U.S. history.

Look at the real numbers and you will see that the Clinton deficit was just as high, he just covered it with SSI funds and longer range projections.

BornToStripe wrote on Sep 12, 2006:Go to #21

I set an economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in any 12-month period.

Bankruptcies happen for many reasons, a lot of times it's the fault of management but a sometimes it's the government making the cost of doing business higher with increst taxes and regulation. Most of the companies that have gone bankrupt started having problems after the Clinton tax hike and finally collapsed after Clinton left office. Bankruptcies don't happen over night, they take time, and most of the prosedings started under Clinton.

BornToStripe wrote on Sep 12, 2006:Go to #21

I set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12-month period.

Forclosures also take time and most of the prosedings started under Clinton. It's a simple fact that if you raise taxes then people have less money to pay their mortgages with and lose their homes.

BornToStripe wrote on Sep 12, 2006:Go to #21

I set the all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the U.S. stock market.

Again, that drop started under Clinton, the end result of the tax increases. Any change in the tax rate takes time to have an economic impact, people will do all they can to work with it and maintain what they have but the time comes when something has to give, businesses close or lay off, people sell their homes for something that cost less or the bank forcloses.

BornToStripe wrote on Sep 12, 2006:Go to #21

In my first year in office, over 2 million Americans lost their jobs and that trend continues every month.

Again, a byproduct of the Clinton tax hike, but that trend is now changing and we are gaining jobs and new businesses at a record rate.

The Enron bunch is in jail and being prosecuted, Halliburton is being investigated for many things right now.

BornToStripe wrote on Sep 12, 2006:Go to #21

More time and money was spent investigating the Monica Lewinsky affair than has been spent investigating one of the biggest corporate rip-offs in history.

The Clinton's obstructed justice which increased the cost, Enron was raided by the SEC and had no chance of obstruction so less cost.

BornToStripe wrote on Sep 12, 2006:Go to #21

I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history and refused to intervene when corruption involving the oil industry was revealed.

Corruption is a matter for the courts not the president and it's up to congress to lift the restrictions on energy development, the president can only sign the bill when he gets it.

BornToStripe wrote on Sep 12, 2006:Go to #21

Do you really want to be subject to a system where you have no rights, a system where your property can be confiscated by a foreign power and the United States can't intervene by law, a system where you can be arrested for doing something that is legal in your home state but illegal in some other country and you have no legal recourse ( did you know that it is a capital offence to fish in Cuba?). I have relatives still alive that can tell you what it is like to have no rights.

In case any of you get interested in this type posting remember I set up a forum just for such stuff (and I'll gladly add different categories or forums if anybody asks)...it's at http://www.childrenofthesixties.com/talk/ and it's open to any and all "sides" or viewpoints on about anything. And the "Children of the 60's Name doesn't mean an age group. It was because in the 60's you had lots of kids talking on college campuses about the war, the environment, changing the world, or whatever. People marched in the streets about almost anything. Now people hardly talk about any of that "stuff" anymore. So it's a 21st Century on-line place where people can discuss, argue, rant, or whatever about politic, the economy, big business, conspiracy theories, "today's" war, or whatever. It's all welcome and you can say whatever is on your mind , I just did it for fun since I have the servers...why not? (Plus I use that forum to experiment with some of the stuff for this software that isn't quite ready for "prime time" yet) Anyhow, come on over and have fun... For me the most profound political statement I heard lately came from the unlikely source of Jon BonJovi who in an interview said he kept his political views to himself because people paid to hear their music, not their politics...but he did say that he felt the problems facing America were so big and so numerous that he thought instead of red & blue states he would like to see one purple country where people were working together to solve things instead of worrying about the "blue vote" or the "red vote". And on that point he's right, the parties have divided states into such "red & blue" lines that really only a couple of "swing" states decide the major elections like the presidency...hmm...maybe it would be a good topic for my fun forum about "what if" whoever got elected president had to have a vice president from the other party?

Hey...I said I experimented there, that forum is what's called an RC or "release candidate" of the next version of this software, it has a lot of stuff this one doesn't but also still has bugs...Robert let me know the little code thingy you have to enter to register wasn't working, I got if fixed but don't really know how or why it quit in the first place... I will mention if you have that problem there is a link under it where it will play the letters if you have your speakers on and that was still working even when the picture didn't display so if you can't read it the audio will read the letters you need to you. That's another reason I have it; someday (as time marches on) that version will replace this one and we will have to upgrade here. But by then they will have the bugs out of it and I will have figured out what a lot of the new stuff does...I hope Come on by and enjoy...it's free speech at it's finest

My opinion is that all elected people in office are crooks one way or another. I have thought this for years and have millions of facts to back it up. Remember when a screwdriver cost the government about $600.00? Most people in office spend their time getting reelected. (John Edwards comes to mind). I could go on and on but the biggest blows came when the New Orleans got hit and we all watched for our living rooms people dying and nothing was done about it for weeks and it still a mess. and then while we have kids starving in the streets we are paying haliburton millions to drive empty tanker trucks back and forth across the desert. People, we in poor shape and the sad thing is we are taking it and doing nothing about it. We drive no matter what the price of gas is, we have a TV in every room, eat out all the time, pay so much tax for so little and the sad thing is this is the best place to live in the world.
