TheStripeZone, Thanks for the info on the kitchen table suggestion. I'll keep my eyes open. I'm getting too old to continue cutting out by razor.

If you don't have the same stencil or care to copy the one thats there or don't posses the skill or knowledge to copy one you can black it out like this

Instead of blacking them out paint a contrasting color over the stencil area then use your stencil on top of it. otherwise after the blackout wares off this is what you get.

Dwan, unless you touched that picture up, it looks like you put beads on those markings . . . . very bright

Another way is to use a sheet of plywood across your saw horses. Cut a round hole in the middle of the sheet (or at a comfortable reach) and mount your router/dremel tool to the under side of the plywood. This makes for one large router table. Cut your stencils to size and then cut out the design. Works well for me...

Now I understand. To me blacking out a stencil is "blacking out a legend". Different terminology for different areas/employers I guess. Here, and maybe only here, a stencil is the tool used to paint a legend. The legend is the finished image that is on the ground. Maybe it's a California left coast thing!
