Strategic Partners co-develop the educational and research surfaces PLSIC publishes. The contribution is content and convening, not capital. The alignment is named on the surfaces the partner helped build.
This is a small-cardinality program at any time. PLSIC is not running a tier-and-listing scheme on this page; it is naming a working partnership with the institutions whose subject-matter authority complements the standards-body work.
Strategic Partners co-develop. Sponsors underwrite. Preferred Vendors sell.
A Strategic Partner contributes substance over time (curriculum, research collaboration, convening) in exchange for aligned brand surface on what they helped build. A Sponsor underwrites a specific surface for a defined period in exchange for named recognition on that surface. A Preferred Vendor is in the operating vendor program: ongoing listing, three-year founding lock, directory presence, and at Elite a standards-input track.
Some institutions do all three, and we name the contributions separately. A Strategic Partner could also sponsor a specific surface; a Preferred Vendor could also become a Strategic Partner. The relationships do not merge.
