I have a couple large crosswalks to do. The lines are 12" wide and the crosswalk is about 700 feet long. What's the best way to spray these? I was thinking of setting up both guns on the same side and overlapping them. My main concern is that overlapping the spray patterns will put to much paint in the middle of the line. Also I don't know what size tip would be best. Any ideas?

if the pavement is real level we just put a 625 yellow tip in the gun and spray them. if you need to make the edges better use a 317 and overlap them a little. you won't need two guns on a 12 inch bar.

I agree with Milt. We us a 625 the same way all the time. Actually that tip with the 12" bead dispenser is what we do most of the day.

So the 625 will spray a 12 inch line? Would I have to be moving pretty fast with that tip? I don't have a driver yet. This is my first job with a new 3900 I bought. Upgraded from a beat up 3400. Never sprayed anything this wide before. I guess I will have to practice it a little before I shoot it. Just wasn't sure if I should use one gun or two.

Try 621, that' s we use , if you need to, do a double coat, make sure there is no much wind blowing,

I also use a 621 tip for 12 inch lines. You will have to do some test lines to adjust the right height for your 12 inch width. Gives nice even coverage. I've used the 621 on a 3400 with a bead dispenser.

I cut out the bars on a piece of plywood. Takes a little time but it gets it absolutely perfect every time. Even with wind which is the biggest battle.

We have tried a 621, 623,625, 627. Around here we have to spray chipseal alot, so we are not able to use the smaller tip. The 625 we use puts down a nice coverage of paint and won't blow around with wind. That tip is recommended at 6" height. You just have to try and play with it. Put some water in your machine and spray the driveway.
