Maybe this sounds crazy..... But i just built a HUGE garage and I got to thinking can I use my 3900 IV and use regular latex paint and spray the ceiling.... or are these only made for parking lot paint... I wouldnt think it would hurt anything but thought I would ask the pros...... Oh yeah 2nd question... I have a few fives of setfast latex left over is it possable to use them on the drywall? ? Maybe im nuts but thought I would ask

Ok, its a pump, just buy the right tip. I have found you do use a little paint filling up a 50 ft hose, but painting is fine, just keep following through you know what I mean. As of using pavement paint I don't know, if It was my barn I'd give it a try, Good luck.

I have painted the rear of three shopping center and one small house with my machines. They are no different to a house painter with a fancy cart. They work great, just DONT use a striping tip. Use a black tip so you get even overlaps. As far as the setfast, I would paint everything in my shop with white or tinted white traffic paint. It covers everything and you dont need a primer. Jim

I have painted farm buildings with mine. I added a 1/4 inch hose and a contractor gun with the black tips, using a 519 tip. It worked great.

I've painted a few buildings with mine also. My best advise, Have a roller handy. That's a must! Chances are you'll have lots of "RUNS". I believe it's a common practice amoung most house painters to spray then back roll on most verticle surfaces.

We have painted houses and our equipment before. The "black" tips are regular spray tips found at most paint stores, they offer a better "fan" compared to the LLT yellow tips. We have used regular house paint, regular enamels, and traffic paints to paint things. We have a tack tank painted traffic yellow, it has held up great too.

I used waterbased traffic white and my Graco to paint the "popcorn" ceilings in a rent house. I didn't even cover the floor, the overspray was dry when it landed, and we swept and vacuumed it up. I used a spray shield against the walls. Worked great.

How do you guys keep the machines from falling off the ceilings?

It's a feature Graco includes at no cost, something Titan does not have (j/k Ken)

Fonz says right way to paint with airless sprayer. You can't go wrong if you follow directions on paint can or from product data sheet. Striping paint is not made at least SW brand to paint ceilings or walls with.

White striping paint worked great on my walls inside my striping trailer. sure lightened it up in there. No runs, no sags, and no cost.

BTW, after I posted about painting a rent house ceiling with striping white, I made a point to ask about it. Ceiling still looks good after four years. A little dirt showing around the air conditioning vents, but otherwise bright and white. Recommended.

Has anyone used concrete stain in your striper, my drive way and patio could use some sprucing up. Plus, I heard there is a red stain that may work better than paint for red curbs? Linda

hello,in regards to using a striper for general painting ,we use are 3900 for exteriors quite often. 1) gas engine on wheels and 2) when using a man lift the 15 gallon hopper works great.Have painted 71,000 sg.ft. health club, exterior of Wal-Mart and staining out side of a bank in the last season

Linda, I have used solvent based concrete stain for painting yellow curbs. Didn't like spraying it but it wasn't too bad. I charged double the price of paint, and people loved it. It was just starting to take off, when the OTC made it a banned substance in the N.E. It works great as long as it is clean concrete with no paint on it. It will never chip or peel. You have to use a very fine tip like a 313 or 311. It does have its down sides as far as fire lane curb though. If your interested just ask. Dave
