I am going to do small job that has 10 parking stalls in the rear of an old house converted to a business. The handicap ramp is in the front where there is street parking. There is no handicap access in the rear where the parking lot is. If they post a sign at the parking lot entrance Handicap entrance in front, can they get their wish a get 10 spots and no handicap or will to keep us from getting fined etc. do I need to do 9 spots and make the one a van accessible spot? I did not find anything when I tried to look at the ADA specs.

Best to call the city or county and check with the local inspector, when it comes down to it, it will be what he wants... We try to stay out of the decision process and just let the customer tell us what to paint, it save us from the "you did it wrong, now fix it free" let them do the leg work IMHO
FLS, 25 stalls or less there must be one van accessible stall. If the ADA entrance is in the front then there must be an accessible route from the stall in the back to the entrance in the front.
