We just bought a Graco Ultra Max II 490 Hi-boy for our blue and red paint spraying needs. It has the same pump our stripers do. Going to mount it in the trailer near the side door and run it with a Honda 2000w inverter generator. We previously had a ProShot II (I have tons of parts and batteries I need to sell) and it just wasn't cutting it anymore. Didn't want to buy a full new machine just for blue and red as it seemed like a bit of overkill. Anyone have any experience with these little beasts?

We tried it several years ago. It was OK for painting blue squares. That's where the good news stopped. Is the job called for blue lines or a red hack for a fire lane it was useless. We also like the line machines for curbs. We run two 3900's for white and yellow. One 3500 for dark colors. Very easy to just purge dark colors without cleaning machines. That is for our water borne paints. We keep a 5900 for acetone or regular oil base. We don't shoot a lot of oil base, just early or late in the season

Here in Canada red curb or blue handicap lines don't exist, I can't think of a single place in the entire city that has it. I know its a big thing for you guys there though so that would be a barrier for sure!

Hospitals in my area, south west of you, are now starting to use red in drop off and fire zones. Done a few blue lines too, and even pink LOL
