Hello guys, Can you please help me with your experience in spraying the ArmorSeal 1000 HS? I recently used the product and had difficulty spraying a nice fan through the 3900 line machine. Luckly I was able to do a work around and produce beautiful results. I am loving the epoxy and wish to use more of it. What did you guys use for tip sizes? I tried various sizes, 319, 321, 419 and can't remember other two I tried. Your knowledge and information will bring wealth. Thank you!

We have had good luck using a 417 striping tip. Depending on the ambient temperature, you may have to thin the paint a little according to instructions.

What is the dry time on this product? Does it require 2 coats? How bad are the fumes? Thank You for all replies !!!

It is an epoxy. Dry time is less of a concern that cure time. It all depends on surface temp and to a lesser degree, ambient temp. Pot life is more a factor of ambient and initial material temp when mixing. You'd be best served by getting a data sheet and studying it then buy a kit to test it out and learn how to spray it before you go do it at your customers location. It is the cost of learning how to use epoxies. Be prepared with the proper reducer, the correct solvent to clean your machine and a variety of tips to learn what works best. No epoxy requires 2 coats if the surface is prepped properly and it is sprayed at around 5-8 mils. How bad the fumes are is subjective to the sensitity of your nose.
