Hello Cormac, I just purchased two Graco model II 5900 machines and they do not have any spray tips or guards. The guns just say "Plus". Here are some questions for you. 1. What guns could I use if one were to mess up and The local stores did not have the exact one? 2. I have seen RAC4 and RAC5 and RACX tips out there. What is the difference? 3. Are the tip guards all the same or is there a special one I need? 4. I would like to see owners manuals and repair manuals if possible. Where can I see or find them? 5. I have a machine that the bead hopper lid is missing, Where can I get one and how much? 6. I would like to get whip hoses for each machine. What size should they be and how much? Thank You.

Chris: Realize i am not Cormac, but i will try and help. If you purchased these systems new they should of had tip and tip guards with them. As for which guns to use the plus will work. Tip Guards are the same for the Rac 4 and 5, the Rac 10 had a differant guard just for it. The dealer should be able to order manuals for you if not contact Graco direct and ask to have one mailed to you. The lid to the bead hopper may be ordered through that dealer, not sure about cost. As for the 6' whip hoses as a second gun system again the dealer should be able to order them, cost is determined by the dealer. Hope this helps Chris. Bob

Since your 5900's do not have tips or guards, I can only assume that they were purchased used. If purchased new, go back to the dealer and get the tips and guards. 1) Use flex and flex plus guns only. Most other reasonably priced guns have aluminum wetted parts. BTW, the flex guns, despite having SST wetted parts should be the least expensive. If they do not have them , order them in. 2 & 3) RAC 4 and 5 are similar enough and interchangeable and have orange guards. RAC X has blue guards and are different. The barrel size (metal part) is a larger diameter as is the blue guard. RAC4 &5 are not interchageable with X. 4) Manuals are available online at www.graco.com . You can also call Graco customer service and request manuals at (800)690-2894. They will be sent out at no charge. 5) I think you may have to buy the whole hopper to get the lid. They are molded together at the same time (in one piece), then cut into top and hopper, so there are no "extra" lids. They are wired together to prevent loss, but nothing is bullet-proof. You could fab your own or unfortunately buy the plastic hopper and top.. 6) If you want to add a whip, I would not go smaller than 1/4". There should be one on there about 6 foot. Is it missing or do you want to add more? On one gun machines you can add whatever length you want 3, 6, 10, 25, 50 feet of 1/4 inch hose. On two gun machines, depending on length of hose added, there is a possibility that you could have a variance between the two lines. Refer to dealers for pricing and part numbers.
