if you are in the market for a new blower check out "Force" by billy goat, its brand new from them, it is an absolute monster. the 13hp honda is 2 lbs lighter than my 10hp little wonder. I come from the landscape side and this blower is top notch.

I forgot for a Moment about the new FORCE blowers...the prices are probably a little more now concerning that.

I priced one at GemSeal last week ( $1,499). They demoed it in the parking lot and it was unreal !!!!

I had a Little Wonder 13hp as my first blower, it was stolen along with my truck, and enclosed trailer at a Best Western in Orlando,Fl. We got the truck, trailer and machines back, not the Blower or the rest of my tools, cables, giant chalk line, and misc. stuff behind my seat in the extended cab. We replaced with a Billy Goat 13hp. unit for $75 less money. The fan on the Billy is WAY SMALLER, we just don't get the output we did from the LITTLE WONDER. I have to admit before i purchased the LITTLE I asked folks on here what was better, when they told me the Little wonder was better, i halfway didn't believe they really had put the 2 side by side, or that they were right. I now see the difference, and just can't see how the less comparable Billy's can be more popular. Maybe lawn companies prefer the smaller less weighty Billy or maybe that's what's being pushed at the small engine shop.

Billy Goat w/Honda has always been our choice except for out 16 HP's that only use Briggs Commercial (made by Kubota/Kawasaki or somebody, not cheap Briggs). The Goats are bulletproof, oldest one over 14 years old, starts 1st pull but is literally "worn out" even things like the handle & stuff patched just from metal fatigue over the years...but it never let us down. But the new FORCE blowers are literally supposed to "blow away" all the competition with the new computer designed fan housing/fan combination...and are supposed to be lighter too.

problem with the NEW BG force is that you need a seperate tandem axle trailer to take it along with you and a overload sign with flashing yellow lights...

Funny...The ones I saw were about the same physical size and showed to be lighter in weight (I didn't pick one up)

the reason some landscaper guys prefer the smaller ones is they have a lower center of gravity. the LW's are prone to rolling over on hills. Personally, I'll take the higher center of gravity for more efficiency 95% of the time. The Force with the 13hp honda wieghs 161 lbs. my LW 10hp B/S weighs 163lbs. The force annihilates the LW. The force is about the same size as the LW, however the handle is taller which is good for me (6'). I pick up my Force at the end of September.

I miss the remote control nozzle with the "force" but I can live without it. Just make sure if you connect the forward blowing attachment you have at least two or three of your strongest people on the handles. For your info Ken, It would probably push a LD or LL backwards.

i just snagged a 13 hp billygoat year old and very clean for $350, believe it or not, guy needed $$$, i have been checking out them forces and would love to have one and they look sweeeet....however prior to my purchase of one described, i have friend who's uncle has a outdoor requipment place and quite large and knowledgeble( out of state,) long story short i wanted my friend to see what kind a deal(discount) he could get on the force( i was quoted 1,500 at a place near me on 13hp honda one)...cause he said he could from uncle, he got back to me and said his uncle said they are pieces of ####, i ask my friend why? and details and he did not give none, and i ended getting my deal, makes me wonder what was up??? could be the first year production thing and kinks are not worked out or what i dont know...but this come from a good source....so beware maybe

The new plastic Billy Goats are much harder to maneuver, our guys prefer the older model. We are also unsure how the new plastic housing will perform, our old ones really took a beating, these things look lilke they will break easier..

i think billygoat has done a good job on the marketing and advertising of the new force(and i love billy goats, i have two)....but lets face it that good job dont mean it is going to do better or is better compared to old ones in the field/work in the "long" haul(where it really matters), i really find it hard to think that it is not as good as old models, cause why fix something that is not broke, so i believe that this thing is better, but saving some weight on this thing is not something that totally impresses me...these things are heavy one way or another somewhat, i have read over this unit on the web page several times, but from what i have heard from friend and the more i look at it....i am a just a little skeptical and curiousl, not trying to be negative but just scratching my head, as mentioned friend has that uncle that sells them i never got details from him on his negative feedback, but i am going to check with him again and push for some details...i am sure it is not a motor issue but maybe a housing issue etc...for now i am fine, but in the future i am sure i will want one and or need one, and i like to be sure

Why they don't have a strong enough chassis to allow a hitch add-on for a ride-on attachment is beyond me. Not like they don't know we've been using Lazyliners with them since 1998.
