What do you consider bulk, we buy 2000 gallons at a time and get a better price. The only paint we shake is to make Blue. Jim

Ken, at 1000 gallons per purchase we had to shake 5's for approx. 3-5minutes per pail. How many pails per day you running? We were an hour or so per day shaking pails during the busy season.

To all of you "movers and shakers": do you have to shake the paint because it is water base or because it settles from transport or just sitting around waiting to be used or all of the above? Dennis

we buy usually 3-4 pallets at a time of CR and do not have to shake it.

We shook the paint because the "good stuff" settles to the bottom if your not that big of a mover or shaker. Given time, your paint will settle out. If you pour the can out and there are any amount of solids in the bottom, you should shake the cans. I usually get my paint fresh and do not have to deal with it anymore, if I have to I drill mix them.

Towards the end of a pallet we will drill mix some if needed, some loads need it others dont?

I don't buy the volume of some of you, but I always drill stir my buckets when I open them whether it is CR or ak.
