Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend this year's Expo But last year I made Micks seminar, "How to stripe the tough jobs" and in the back of his booklet he passed out was a diagram showing the dimensions of his genius tool the "chain gang". I was wondering if anyone had the diagram showing the correct way to make your tic marks using the chains. Perhaps someone could scan the pages and post them on here, it would be a great asset to the site in the helpful hints section, this tool makes layout cake. Would love to have it made and ready for this coming season!!! Thanks, Sean Rejuvenate USA

You might talk with someone personally, however I would advise anyone to think before posting "scans" or direct quotes of seminar materials. Seminar materials are copyrighted material. I doubt Mick would care but Cygnus might. For the question you might contact Cygnus and if you can verify you attended the class in the past you could probably get a copy of the handout. (I know they keep attendee records on computer but don't know how many years back). He gives the same basic one every year so they might have some on hand.

I'll admit I'm probably the world's worst about not maintaining machines. A squirt of throat oil is about the entire extent. That's why I am such a hard core Speeflo fan. They are not nearly as refined as Gracos but boy do they take a beating. The only time I've had one fail is from overdoing a cleaning job. A few of weeks back I asked an employee to load the lines in one with MEK. It had been working fine but we replaced some lines that had been hanging on the shop wall. I forgot about it and let it sit in the back for two weeks.... When we cranked her up she wouldn't pressure up.... lesson well learned. The way I have it figured, I could buy three or four brand new machines right now and still be ahead because Speeflos of forgiving nature.
