Just curious. What part of the tip cracks and where? What are the symptons when it does? Does it not spray anymore? Sprays too much? Paint go everywhere? Etc. 'Been thru hundreds and never had anything but the plactic break from hitting curbs. It would be good to know what to watch out for in case it could possibly cause something to get painted other than the pavement.
Do not use a tip that the barrel has cracked. Return it to the store for a replacement under warranty. I do not want Carbide insert flying out because they are not secured the way they are supposed to be. Cracked barrels occur at times, but it is very rare. Something in the machining process or a bad run I guess: too much heat of poor installation of the carbide(?), not sure. In any event don't use it, get another, and move on.
