This is a draft of what im thinkling of putting on my trailer. The block white areas aroung the logo and graphic will not be there in the actual work. I would appreciate any feedback so I can do the best job communicating the message. To busy, hard to read, does it say enough? Any feedback would be most helpful Tnaks

Put your website address in big letters and your phone numbers in smaller letters.

I have to disagree! I have had several people comment on how they are glad to be able to see my phone number on my trailer. They stated that too many times they see a company name for something they are in need of and the print for the phone number is too small. So I recommend to have phone number a bit bigger then your website, more people have phones in their vehicles not computers.

Looks great! Everything is better when its bigger. It's an eye catcher.

We had ours painted Maroon with big White letters. Came out really nice and it can be seen by a long distance away.

MarkG, nice job! I am interested in doing some signage also, what did you get for prices? There is a shop my way I am calling today. Don't know if they do graphics though.

Thanks to all for the feedback!!! As far as cost I am at $1400 for two sides and rear door. the other sides vary a little due to space but will be similar paramount!! good idea on the font color ill change that on my draft and see how it looks, the multi colors might be to confusing Thanks

Yea, it's hard just to focus on one part at a time. My eyes are going all over the place trying to decide what to read first. Id have the name all the same size, font and color. One color font will make it flow and look professional. You want the potential customer to visualize your trailer and remember the name "American Pressure Washing & Parking lot Striping", (if thats the name of your Co. heh I haven't been able to figure that part out yet) . I would also have the American part the same font as PW and PLS font, at first glance (which most people will only have a second or two to look at it) Id think American is the company that makes the trailer not the name of your co. Moms a graphic artist so it kinda rubbed off on meh , there is actually a science behind placement of lettering and pic's and colors. Driving down the interstate I would see "Pressure Washing and Parking Lot Striping" and then start looking around for the company name and by then I would end up in the other lane, in a tree or in the back of the car in front of me . Properly sized and placed lettering can be 10x more effective than any picture. If you really want to go balls to the wall, think about having a real picture of a freshly cleaned and stained deck with little beads of water and a freshly striped parking lot, that would sell me right there driving in my car over any clip- art pic. Hope this helps!! I know for sure once I get enough $$ for a trailer and lettering im going to use real before & after pics so the customer sees the actual difference my services make!! P.S: please do not take any offence to what I might have said this was all to help a fellow striper out and hopfully make him a buck or two!! Sean Paramount Asphalt **won't let me post any pics of real photos of a before/after of a deck and a purty lookin striped lot **

Hey paramountboss no ofense taken,, I appreciate the feedback thats why I posted the question. Its very easy to get wrapped up in the fluff and forget the message. The American is actually our company logo thats why its different. Youve got me thinking about the art work and I want to take time doing this the best I can for the $$ spent. If someone cant tell what your all about the message is lost. I also want to keep in mind that the trailer will get great exposure as I am parked doing a job as well. The actual name of our "company is MarKir Services Inc, dba as American etc.

As far as the web-site phone number size whatever you do those are the two things you want to stand out. Somebody said earlier "How many people have computers in their cars?" But there is also the fact few people will immediately call from their cell (if they have one) to discuss pavement work while they are driving. This is why the right web site name is so important. It MUST be something catchy and easy to remember. People also don't have time to write while they are driving (hopefully) and a good web site name is easier to remember than a phone number for many people (especially if you are in a metro area like us where you must dial area code +7 numbers for all, even local, calls). And remember web sites are a far more effective "first contact" than the telephone. The optimum order of contact today is web site then telephone contact. (For those who don't know this is because of the "control factor". Clients are totally defenseless to a website, as far as their mental state, so they are "open" to suggestions because THEY are in complete control of the entire experience. With personal contact either by phone or in person everyone puts up a subconscious "sales defense" because everyone has had a bad experience with a salesman somewhere, sometime.) But those are definitely the two things you want to see & remember. Phone & web site. As I mention in my marketing seminars addresses should be small & out of the way, all they are good for is when you are parked or on the job someone will know you are local. I've seen so many vehicle signs with the street address taking up big space, and I always ask "how many customer walk into your office and say, I need a bid?"
