Robert ... were you able to the drawings up on the curve yet? Not pushing, just wanted to make sure I didn't miss it. Thanks, Woodie

OK - it's not setup very well, I have not taken the time to format the pages or double check anything. Here's a link to the pages on layout on curved curbs: http://www.parkinglotplanet.com/randyvs_curved_layout.htm Maybe Randy could send me his original files, and I could set it up a little better. Bear with me, there's still a lot of work to do on the site, more stuff coming soon... Edit: Randy sent me the drawings, I re-drew them, and they are up now.

I'll get originals to you Robert. In the mean time, anyone who wants me to send them directly, e-mail me and I'll be happy to send what you are looking for.

Thanks, Randy. I got the originals from you this morning. Maybe sometime this weekend, I'll get them put up in a better format than they are now. Herb: You need to make one of the Expos next year. Be sure to take Mick's "Striping the Tough Jobs" seminar. He's got a great presentation on layout on curved curbs. He has video of his crews doing it, then everyone goes into another room and actually lays out a couple rows of parking on the carpet. His system is fast, but a little hard to explain without all the visuals and hands on.

Late last fall I took this information provided by Randy and completed an angled layout on a curved area. I considered this a very difficult layout, it was the first time I have encountered such a layout since 1989. Without this drawing I doubt I would have completed the layout to my usual satisfaction. Shortly after posting a thank you in reference to the above drawing/information on the previous Parking Lot Planet I received a phone call from Joek, he was whining about the thank you to Randy, apparently his squaring cables can accomplish the result too and thought I should say so. I never received thorough enough instruction from him on the subject and my suggestion for Joek would be to include better instructions with his wares. When I realized the task at hand the first thing that came to mind was the drawings, not the cables. I thought I would add it here because after all, this is a site where you can learn a lot for nothing. So whether you bought cables or made your own (it is easy and cheap), you can accomplish this layout with the help of the cables too. I did it with a tape measure.

Guess where he got the idea for the cables? " Striping the Tough Jobs "

Striping the tough one's huh? Bet you hear different from him... Anyway, I'll have to catch a seminar sometime, maybe meet Mick.

I have taken the drawings RandyV sent me and re-drawn them to make them easier to read on the web. Here's the link: http://www.parkinglotplanet.com/randyvs_curved_layout.htm
