Whereas a Titan has a motor that runs a belt (that you have to replace regularly*) that runs a pump that pumps a special hydraulic fluid (that you have to replace regularly*) that runs thru a filter (that you have to replace regularly*) that runs a hydraulic cylinder (that gets really hot**) that drives the paint pump. But alas, no smart control, just a knob. Did I mention the Titan's motor has to run at a higher RPM to handle the load of the hydraulic pump, making more noise and using more gas $$$$$? *Unless, of course, you don't believe in routine maintenance... **You can tape hot dogs to the outside of the hydraulic cylinder in the morning and they will be cooked thoroughly by lunch!!! Don't forget to toast the buns on the muffler! PS I was unaware there was an electric motor on the 3900's....I need to go study my parts breakdown again....oh wait....I have no idea where it is, since I've never used it.....
