Is there any one one here that emirgrated to the states in recent times. it was a lot easier in Ken, Born to Stripe, Fonze and Robs day they just stepped of the Mayflower ship , and panned for gold I have been looking at the immigration web site and why they don't recognise a Striper as an Alien with Extraordinary Ability (visa class 0-A) is beyond belief!! ::)Any way whats the easiest way to get in legally to work in the states? does any one know?

It's a stretch but if you have eyes for an american citizen you can file a "petition for fianc'e" That is, if the feeling is mutual and both parties agree to marry one another. This way you can enter the states legally and work til your hearts content.

If your from Saudi Arabia and your name is on a terrorist watch list, you can get permanent residency status in about five minits and citizenship in an hour, unfortunately if your from one of the Crown Dominions you have to jump through hoops, wrap yourself in red tap and take English as a second language class just to get a thirty day visa. We are working on changing that but it does take the monkey a long time to type up the ten thousand pages of politicogoop to make that happen. And don't think that the folks from the Mayflower had an easy time of it neather, my kin folks tried to deport them but they just kept coming back. Did you happen to mentune that you are a "Woman" striper? Could make a difference.

Hey Wend, how about a green card marriage? We can get married and live in separate states, get together for a vacation in St. Maartens or Cayman once a year, get 'faced, tell dirty jokes, and then you can divorce me for ignoring you as soon as you get your citizenship. I'm not doing anything special right now, and my current girlfriend has four legs and only gets jealous when I pet the neighbor's german shepherd..... We just have to get past the language barrier. I don't speak Liverpudlian.

Hey, Chip, you enjoying that rain? If I had your phone number we could have done some fishing two weeks ago, drove through the Carolina's on my way back to Texas from Boston.

Only if you enjoy flats fishing....with gas at the dock at $3.44, I am skiffing it for a while. Used to be I could take the big'un offshore all day for about $120, now its more like $400. Little'un is more like $20 a day, and I just laff when I hit a sandbar. Ya know, it used to be all my friends would chip in on the gas and be clamoring to go offshore. Now they is all soccer dads, hauling kids from Tae Kwon Do to soccer, from riding lessons to tennis to Cotillion. They have traded in the Nissan Z car for the Dodge Caravan. They all tell me "ten minutes after little Timmy graduates from college, I will be on the dock ready to go". I tell 'em '"ya right, yer wife said that ten minutes after little Timmy graduates, you was going to be on an extended antiques buying vacation". Thats when they start crying.....durn shame, watching a 45 year old man start crying when he realizes he dropped his manhood back down the trail about 13 years ago......

Fishing is fishing, don't matter what kind of boat. Did some shark fishing last month down in Galveston, first time to ever fish from a parking lot over the water.

What part of Galveston? Where exactly were you? Had the blue water come all the way to the beach? Sometimes during dought that happens. I sure wanted to get down there with all this dry weather....just too busy.

On the main road ocean side, there is a hotel on a Pier out over the water, for 5 bucks you can fish from the parking lot. Don't remember the name of the hotel but it is across the street from the Dominoes pizza place.
