Could I get some info. on painting a concrete garage floor 40X60. There is a 10X10 back door, will the fumes be a problem useing oil base. He wants a broom able smooth finish. Is it better to roll it or spray it? I know I saw a way to convert SqFt to LF I'll have to look for it. Thanks for any info. Ron

Ron, I would roll the floor for a more even coat. It will take a little longer but you do not have to worry about any over spray. 10x10 back door should be enough for ventilation. Thats my opinion, some guys might want to spray it, but it comes down to what you are comfortable doing. Gary
Check into a floor coating epoxy. More expensive than paint, but should last much longer. I would roll it, you can add sand or a product by the brand name of "ground works" to the coating to give a little slip resistance, and it would still be broomable.
You will be dissappointed with a floor paint eventually, maybe sooner than later. Unless it is a high solids two part, epoxy etc. Floor prep is the key, if you don't prep now, you will have a big headache trying to correct the problem if the paint you put down dissapoints you. Rolling is the standard for a good floor coating.
