I bought a LL4 , I was wondering what the knob was at the bottom on the back lower end of the machine, where the Lazy liner hitch goes? Must be there is a special hitch for these? Thanks bolt the gun up?

I believe it is for tightening your spray arm to paint off the back wheel.

That's right. You can slide it right out the front and right into the back for rear wheel striping. However it won't work very well for head in parking. It is good for long line striping for sure.

is there a different hitch to get for a LL or LD?

Bande I am pretty sure you can use the same hitch for both drivers.
