The Lazy Liner and Line Driver are almost the same and will work on any machine, you may have to rig up the ball hitch though. Quote I just don't have the legs to wear short metal skirts? Real men wear short metal skirts.

$15000 for the stand up! DV sales rep told me that it would be cheaper than a line driver and a 3900 but did not get me a price yet. Guess he was wrong. I have been thinking about getting a lazy liner the only thing that scares me is not having a store to bring it back to if something goes wrong. I am leaning toward the line driver I have a 5900 and a 3400. I wanted to sell the 3400 (bought it at the end of last summer) because it is to small but I guess Ill just stick with that for a while. and not by a 3900. Might be my best option.

Speaking of buying... I saw an older Cresswell conventional for sale via the Houston craigslist for $350 today! Search line striper. I am tempted to buy but it apparently needs a little work. I really could use another machine on the cheap. ... But I'm probably gonna be stupid and buy a standup by the end of the year. That thing looks SWEET!

I would not worry about the service on a lazy liner. That company is the most helpfull and knowledgeable of anyone I ever dealt with. We have had ours for several years and many miles with no problems. The service on others will only be as good as the local store you take to. Remember it isn't something they see every day so their knowledge is probably very limited. The new Graco stand on is probably a great machine but the Graco rep said it is more suited to roadwork than parking lots. Unless you do a lot of roadwork the driver is much more versatile. Can be easily coupled to different machines.
i would not buy a stand up machine, looks like you will get tired standing all day, I'm real happy with having a couple of line drivers, we use them for our Graco striping machines, for our handliners, blowers, scarifers, bituminous applicators, to lay out, even to go and get lunch. I think the only good thing about the stand up machine is the auto lay out,
Just ordered my line driver. I have the auto layout on my 5900 and love it. It saved me some money just getting a line driver and keeping my 3400 for the blue. I figure if i can get by with the 3400 for another couple years ill upgrade when needed. Cant wait i have never have a driver? I was looking at the hopper but they want i think 300 bucks thought that was high for a big plastic bucket. Thanks for all the input. O also i did not go with the stand up partly because i thought i would let them work the kinks out in the first few year.
I asgree with jpanz. A Linelazer and Linedriver is a better package for day in and day out parking lot striping. As the workload for roadwork, bike paths, airports, or detail work following a truck increases the 250 begins to gain advantage. Don, I believe the guy was comparing 2 Graco products. Most on here take the high road. I feel PLP's Forum would turn into a cess pool if everyone here , including me, took your approach. There is a lot of JUNK out there. I choose to keep my opinions to myself and simply offer assistance to those looking for specific advice.

Most of the Billy Goats will hook to it, you just need to rig the hitch.

Just give me an hour with the thing and I'll have a seat on it.
