I needed to replace a bearing on a 3500 that died of old age and the bearings are easy to find: Timken LM11949 Bearing Timken LM11910 Race But does ANYONE have a mfg/number for the wheel bearing seal? The Graco guy looked at me like cows look at a passing train when I asked him about it....

I threw two junk 3500's away last year....sorry. I'll check with my bearing supplier co down the street tomorrow.

I have a few replacement Timken bearings (the LM11949) in my spare parts tool box but no seals. Sorry, I don't have any seals or part numbers for them.

My supplier said the Timken #'s were common but would need the OD of the axle and the ID of the wheel cavity. They could provide it. Sounds like a standard seal.

I've never torn into one but wouldn't the OD and the ID dimensions for the seal be the same as the bearings?

Try www.bearingplace.com . There are about 28 LM11949's listed. Same for the LM11910.

WEEE! It should be so easy. I went to my bearing place with the old seal, the axle and step dimensions, the old bearings, and I can find a bunch of "close" seals, but not the exact one. Did you know there are about 200 different seal lip designs? Maybe Cormac will read this and tell us either the seal number or who makes the wheel assembly. Graco in Meenasoda says they only have a number for the entire wheel assembly, nothing on bearings or seals. I will post up whatever I find to be the best result.
