Hilti's are good tools...expensive though I have & use hammer drills often. The three brands that have stuck with me through thick & thin are... Hilti's TE40-AVR Bosch 11248EVS & Makita's HR3851. The Bosch & Makita are spline shank drills, the Hilti is SDS. The Bosch was my standard "go-to" drill. Dependable, but I have had some problems with the hammering action in extremely cold weather. (usually cured by a tune-up & fresh grease) The Makita is a tank! Big & heavy..lots of metal parts. If I had to hand out a drill to monkeys with hammers..the Makita would be the one. My Hilti is the "new kid on the block". So far..so good. Hilti has a good warranty & repair service as well. (Haven't had to use it yet) Hope my .02 was helpful
The 1-9/16" Milwaukee spline drive is dependable, hammers hard, and has a recoil handle to keep your hands from getting beat-up (ain't good on the nervous system when your hands get that tingling sensation). A nice 'set up' when powered by 2000 iu Honda generator. ...For 2"diam. use a core bit.
