On an archived thread: BoBoStrut asked the question, Bleen supplied a diagram, and Straightline all commented. Straightline, have you layed one of these out before? We have a contract to layout out a new parking area starting from the end and working to the start. My anxiety (after measuring a few hundred times) is by the time we get to the start, we find ourselves out of room for the first and or second column of parking. We have a diagram but sometimes the guys in the office (as some of you know) draw dimensions that aren't actually the same as the parking area. We plan to measure the space to make sure all columns will fit. Anyway, any tips, any of you willing to share is greatly appreciated. Also: Straightline, if not imposing, I would like to talk to you over a phone call if possible. PM me if your willing with consent and either send me your number or I will send you mine. That would go for anyone willing to discuss a few things over the phone. Thanks

They are just like laying out angle against a curb, you have to mark each end of each 18 foot stall, the good part is that the mark at the center line will be good for both sides so it's really just marking 3 times for each row. Set all the driveways first then mark the center line. be sure to clearly mark the start and stop point for each center line because one end will be shorter and if you use a chalk line it should look like a big triangle. Paint the center line first, then paint one side at a time just like painting against a curb. A few crazy people like to make the center line like a V in each stall like that will keep people from hitting each other. Over all it's no harder then any other angle stall.
