Bought a 13 hp Honda, little wonder blower, brand new from someone I'll never see again. We used it today and 1/2 hour into running it; it started to burn blue smoke. Anyone know where I can purchase a rebuild kit for the beast. I know, I feel like I got taken, but it was a great deal at 400.00. I'm sure it can be fixed. Any help would be appreciated.

I have never heard of a Honda engine that needed rebuilding.

find a honda dealer and take it in and let them smoke it over...

Use it. Let it smoke. Could be anything. Don't rebuild it unless it quits. Chances are it will clear itself up.

Well if it isnt broke dont fix it, but if it bugs you enough, you can go to gxparts.com and get a replacement head. It comes with valves and seats. This is what I did on a gx 120 (4 hp) and the smoking stopped. A 100 fix including shipping.

Prolly was metal filings left in engine after manufacturing. Any warranty, or did it fall off the back of a truck? I would buy one of the aftermarket engines and replace it. You could spend a lot of time and $ rebuilding it.

Blue smoke is burning oil, could be that it got tipped over and some oil leaked into the cylinder, just let it burn off and see if it fixes itself. Have some 15 year old Hondas and never had to rebuild one.

Thanks for the help. To much oil in the motor, it poured out from the dip stick. Now it runs like a champ. Thank for the ideas.
