I watched the video of Riberts. ?. My spray tip is only an inch or two off the pavement. His looked to be 8 to 10 ". I'm using an airlessco 4000 W/ a 3-17 tip. The dealer set the machine up fpr a 4'' line. Ive done some re-setting for the two jobs Ive done.(not a lot of striping experience). It just seems out of whack compaired to the vidio. Should I be using a different tip?
I'm probably using a 3-19. I don't know why you are so close to the pavement, different tips from different companies with the same pattern can spray completely differently. I your paint is thin, then your pattern will be wide. I like to run with the tip high, there's less change in line width over irregularities.
here's a pic of me mates hand the result of a fluid injection, the thumb you see is actually his index finger that has been transplanted over to where he lost his thumb so he can grip. He was lucky to still have a hand and he's the 1st to admit he never maintained his airless sprayers. Even luckier has is able to still pick up a good bottle of scotch!
