full link with pics http://omaha.craigslist.org/bfs/3884663554.html My Partner and I started this as a side business. This is a parking lot striping/field turf painting business. Both of us are now in different positions at our full time careers and no longer have time to operate/run this business. Business has excellent opportunities and we have set it up well. Unfortunately we have had to turn down over $20,000 worth of business in the last month alone. We have considered hiring someone to manage the business but we honestly do not have the time to continue to gather new business and keep it going. Here is what you will get: 1) Legal rights to the Midwest Surface Striping LLC name. We have registered the name with the State of Nebraska and will pay to have it turned over to you. 2) 2000 Chevy Silverado Z71 4X4 pickup with custom wheels, fender covers, bed cover and overall just a great looking and running truck. We have maintained the truck well and have recently replaced the internal electronic system. Picture of the truck is attached. It has 106,000 miles and is ready for 100,000 more. We would take this truck anywhere and look good doing it. 3) 2000 Cargo Mate 5X10 covered trailer with hitch and locking mechanism. Trailer is in great shape and is carpeted on the inside for use with other cargo. We used the trailer to haul our machine, tools, paint, etc. No issues with the trailer. It is ready to roll. 4) Titan Speeflo Powrliner Series 850 line striper. This machine is a year old and ready to go as well. We will include extra spray tips and all accessories that we currently have. Good for parking lot striping or field painting. Have all manuals, etc. 5) Rights to our website that can be found at midwestsurfacestriping.com. Website was developed by us and was paid up front through godaddy.com. Paid through 2013. Annual renewal is approx. $70.00. We put approximately $600.00 into this website. 6) Full stencil kit for handicap parking, numbers for fields, "no parking", etc. $600.00 value. Most of these stencils are brand new. Some have paint on them from use but overall the set is ready to go. 7) Parking for truck and trailer in secured lot with access that requires a code. This lot is paid through the end of October 2013. Great place to park the rig without worry. Rights to the Midwest Surface Striping logo. A picture is attached and will provide you with the e-copy of the logo. 9) Custom estimate and invoice forms with the Midwest Surface Striping logo. E copy sent to you for use. 10) Tips from us on how to get business, contacts for using the line striper and getting accessories or parts, etc. We will even throw in business cards with the logo and your new business phone number. This really is a great opportunity that is completely set up and ready for someone to start immediately, we just aren't willing to give up what we are doing now to continue to pursue this business. Please give us a call at [phone removed]. Serious inquiries only. Location: West Omaha

So you get an ok looking truck and a gerbil trailer plus a striper and some stencils, all used. Omaha is in the middle of nowhere yet they have calls for $20k in work for the month but they would rather keep the jobs they have? I don't know of many jobs that pay that much, but after cost you would only be looking at $5 to 7k, maybe little more. If they stuck with it they could do even better. If it was in a better market it might be worth it but would need to up grade that trailer to at least a city rat size.

Just west in Lincoln I've done 60k since April. Its only seasonal from mid march to November. I've got 2 machines one is a new 200hs with auto layout. I got a 6x12 enclosed. Over 5k in stencils. A decent website. A lettered 2003 chevy avalanche with 200k miles. I would want 45k if I were to sell and I don't think anyone would give me that. But a titan 850? What a joke.

I'll sell my business only if I get paid several million dollars and mine's probably only worth $25k. I ain't giving this up! It's so much fun! Besides... That's my blood and sweat I put into it. It's my baby.

To buy the thing someone has to put up $20k, now he is $20k in the hole and still has to learn how to do things if he has no experience plus get some work quick to keep up with the payments. Not a good way to start and what can it be sold for to the next wanna be striper. In that small of a market it would be better to just buy a piece at a time and avoid the large up front cash outlay. An experienced would not likely want the whole outfit, just some of the parts.
