1. Those poxy plastic wing nuts on the clamps! We have replaced ours with normal bolts and welded a small rod to the bolt. 2. Cables, we're held to ransom with those designer cables, change the set up so you can use the ordinary cables from the store! 3. By Widening the back Axel, you will be able to spray as near as you can to the front Axel, with out your back wheel going in your paint. You'll notice the difference in line variation instantly. The nearer your gun is to any Axel the better. You still have the option to spray with the gun set out side the back wheel like now. 4. Have a separate bar to support for your gun assembly nearer to the back Axel. The longer the gun holder support bar is set the worse the bounce. 5. The extention bar that holds your gun assemble needs to be changed to a rounded type. So if you set your gun and you see your a couple of mls out you can simple twist that bar down a bit or up, you don't need to undo every thing to adjust then re tighten. 6. The Hydraulic fluid cap! If that things not tied down it will float it's that flimsy! 7. One ( being the operative word) good thing Wagner brought out with their stripers years ago was a small plastic tool box that was actually molded to the shape of the part (Direct drive Assembly housing case i think!) that held our tips, chalk etc. There is plenty of space in the front of the cart for one of these. I sound like a winching pome! which I am!

I didn't make improvements to the Speeflo carts ( not that there isn't room for it!,) but over the years we have had carts made that seem to out last and are more balanced than the carts we have from speeflo. So we would buy the bare spray unit and rig a cart up. It was a case of having to as there were no stripers available in the country and when you could by one they would put such a mark up on it the cart would cost more than the pump. Cormac mentioned about the unbalance of the 8900 which is perfectly true, and I can't see any one wanting to push these even if they were balanced because of the weight factor,so you may as well add more weight to the front. Also they need to move the gun set up near as they can to the front axel, it's too far back. How many road rigs do you see with a gun arm stretched out front bouncing all over the place? I see Graco have now brought a cart out with a separate back axel mount, you'll notice the difference in this, it will be a lot smoother when marking speed bumps etc. I do love the speeflo pumps though. Mind u any pump is better than the Wagner's I had for 7 years LOL!! Shame they brought me a house! I still hold an affection for them bless!
