My insurance is up for renewal, a while back this forum had a discussion on this topic. Someone listed some sort of code for a insurance classification for striper's. What category should we be listed in. Right know I'm listed as painter/three stories and below & also driveway, parking area or sidewalk paving or repaving.

We are put into two class codes, they are 5474 (painting & shop operations) and 5516 (street or road construction & drivers) The split between the two codes has saved us a bunch.

Just a reminder for those who haven't done so to please send the NPCA your insurance info as requested on the old forums (and on their forums) so the carrier they have been working with for almost 4 years can finish getting the category, code & discounts set-up especially for stripers... Yes PLEASE send the information requested in that post as soon as possible. It will end up saving all pavement contractors who do work besides highway paving. We need more info and the faster we get it and get it to the insurance company the faster it will be reality. And we are impatient, it took 4 years to get to this point, now we are so close, and just need your help to get the lowest possible rates. We had a post about this on the old forums but we understand why they are unavailable right now.
