Has anyone used an inverted chalk on layout lines? We just got nipped by the feds because some of our layout lines were not completely covered on some of our enhanced center lines..... I know Krylon and RustO make a temp inverted chalk, but I read a lot of reviews that said they were not that temporary..... Thanks

I would not use chalk, last thing you want is a failure of the line after painting. ( from experience ) use a quality / compatible striping paint if do use paint When we do enhanced center lines we will use crayon to lay out the edges of the black, use string line while painting the straights and follow the chalk marks in the curves, other option is to do your layout on center or in 2" then adjust pointer so you always cover the layout.
enhanced center lines are used at runway entrance just prior to the hold bar, this is to alert pilots that they are entering a runway. these are outlined in black, with a yellow taxiway center line and skips on each side and extend 150' from the hold bar. and they are a B_)*^& to paint correctly.
