Hey guys! A quick question for those of you who do parking lot sweeping as well in your business. I just purchased two Elgin Eagles because my subcontractors were simply not cutting it for quality or organization anymore. I have a lot of prices from other companies so that I have an idea of what to charge - but do you have any tips of what to look for? Do you charge by square foot? by the stalls? Any starting point would be great! Thanks

You need to figure out how many acres or square meters you can sweep per hour and then figure drive time, maintenance, insurance, payroll, etc. That is a big sweeper for just parking lots. Is this nightly trash chasing or construction and road sweeping? I have developed an excel spreadsheet with all of my costs included that I can use to calculate by the foot or stall or curb mile. You will get there eventually, just like any other service.

In Calgary ,AB - this type of sweeper is the norm for removal of winter gravel. Anything smaller just doesn't cut it around here. We sweep large/medium sized malls. Would you mind sharing with me that excel document for costs? I'm relatively new to the industry and any insight would help a lot.
