Do you have to file a lien within 90 days of completing the job or within 90 days of invoicing them for the job?

depends on your state. Call your AG office for the correct answer. or post the state in your profile so some one in your state can respond. Dwan

In NY it is 90 days from the time you finished the job. So if it is going to be close go back and put down some more paint and you have another 90 days.

Utah just started a new law, that states that you must file the job in a computer prior to begining the work, failure to do so will eliminate your lien rights. Best to check carefully with your own state.
