i don't know about you folks but people can't see my cones, red tape, orange barrels, wet paint signs, helpers with shotguns.. Like Don says no one looks at stripes but us little alone read them.. I think flashing reds lights in lines might be seen....

Now THAT'S a great idea, JimJack!!! Flashing stripes...cool! You're right on about people not seeing the barricades and tape as it is. I honestly don't think it would be legal in my neck of the woods. I think the municipalities would go nuts if they saw that junk. Bad idea, in my opinion.
Hey guys.. haven't posted for a while, hope everyone had a good time at the expo. (says to self.."I WILL go next year!") Dwan is right. Maybe $15 a line. But that would still mean getting off my lazy liner. I don't think stripers will be installing these. If there lucky they may get some college kids home for the summer. I actually don't think the whole thing is a bad idea, if they stick and if they last, but not for advertising "Visa" in a parking lot. Nobody cares. Maybe Home Depot would like to have a fancy "Home Depot" line for the first few parking spaces in there lot. Or Outback might want to mention their Bloomin Onion on the lines IN THEIR LOT. People might notice and say "cool, look at those lines". A gimmick. I for one am tired of advertising everywhere and I sure hope none of my property owners gets greedy and junks up their lot with BUD LIGHT adds.
Me thinks we are not seeing the obvious opportunity. Stripers who like restripe work could/should offer to each commercial establishment the option of painting logos or advertisements on their stripes. Robert can make whatever stencil you need. Proper stenciling with an airless machine should look almost as good as a vinyl sign. Stenciling ads or logos would be more permanent, not have to be replaced each month, and could be good money (with no need to worry about going back to dispose of a bunch of loose trash). Also, you'd secure a stronger relationship with restripe customers. Restripe price would double or triple and cut your driving time. You could restripe and stencil ads twice as fast at twice the rate of putting down temporary tape. Hmmmmm. I may think about my negative attitude toward restripes. ............Nah!
