Has anyone had problems with the 12 V voltage regulator on their Line Driver go bad? I bought the used 3900 and LD from Erik in DC and the voltage regulator on the LD seems to have no output. There is 12 VAC input but zero output. I am thinking about replacing it with a simple voltage regulator from a lawn & garden tractor or a car rather than paying Graco over $200 for a new one. Any thoughts? Will this work?

Randy I have a LL2. My regulator crapped out about a year ago. I do have a Honda part number for the regulator. If it will help you out, I will get it for you. I forget the cost but it was expensive. I do have a very good source for info on that kind of stuff. They couldn't match me up with anything but original.
For sure you can find a aftermarket replacement!! Are there any marking on the one you have? Rcan, can you send me the info you have? I spend a lot of time collecting wonderfully useless info like this. Now if I could just get JPanz to send me the crossover for the hydraulic filter on the LineDriver....
https://www.mfgsupply.com/SmEngElectHonda.html/mv_session… In the catalog there are four different universal voltage regulators, with or without rectifiers. From about $20-60.00. Look in the snowmobile section, there are a few universal regulators in there too.
Randy, I doubt you are going to find anything aftermarket as that board is made specifically for the Linedriver. I rarely hear of that board ever going out so it is reliable. I would view it as a one time replacement for you and for $215 you have a light that works as long as you own the machine. It really depends how much value you place on having a light available on the machine.
I just can't get this new acrylic LOW voc sherwin williams paint off of my mind. Question, does anyone have a solution for easier pouring and storing of acrylic paint from SW? We use to have the luxury of the plastic pour/plug hole with oil. Now 20 metal tabs later and a "new gym membership" to hold the 5 gallon "big mouth" steady, we are still fighting with pouring this stuff in during jobs. SW claims that hot weather will cause the plastic pour/plug holes to pop. I told the product division guy they need to figure out a pour and store aid to make it easy. This "Marylander" would appreciate any feedback from the "Californians" that have dealt with the switch from oil to acrylic?
