I'm looking to buy a line removal machine. I've rented scarifiers before, but have no idea what to invest in. I'm scheduled to remove 14 miles of 4" line (6 sites) in October, but want to make sure I get one that can remove at a brisk pace. Anyone have information?

I have a little Bartell(?) scarifier that is like wrestling a pitbull to scratch lines off at a very slow pace. Since then I chose to get an Edco TLR7 that works much better and way faster. I normally count on removal pace of 5 metres/minute. Some jobs are quite a bit faster while others are right around that number. None are slower. Andrew

I am in Mass and have a TLR7 if you are near by let me know and we can work something out if you think this will help

Check out Smith grinders. They have a 11 horse that has a cart to attach to a linedriver or Lazyliner. I dont know how much grinding you have done in the past, but close to 75000 feet of grinding will take a huge to on you body with a unit you have to control. Jim

We purchased a grinder from Kut-Rite and it has worked out great. They have a new fully tungsten cutter that leaves a smooth finish on the surface and last much longer than other cutters.
