I am looking at buying a Line Driver and either another 3900 or keeping the 3900 i own and buying 5900 .Questions are any changes coming on 06 models, and prices on 05 and 06 models. I have talked to my two paint reps in town, they bid out 05 demo equipment and 05 new,but have not ansewed questions on 06 improvements. Both have lowed their quotes after i asked if that was their best price. Prices where $4000 for 3900,$4000 driver, and $4600 for demo 5900. Seems fair to me.

Hello Everyone, I was talking with Dave about the Lazy Liner and was wondering how heavy of a trailer this could move. I have a odd-shaped back yard and I was wondering how heavy of a two axle trailer the Lazy Liner could pull or push. Has anyone done this? How heavy of a trailer? I was thinking of getting a motorized trailer dolly for about $1200., but if the Lazy Liner could do the same then this is a bonus. Anyone try this? Thanks for any info.
We pull a landscapers wagon loaded with up to 4 buckets of paint with our lazy liner all the time. This is while pushing a striper full of paint. Like Fonz said, it is meant to push, not pull but it can realistically pull anything you will need to pull while striping a parking lot. It is not meant to pull heavy trailers with a heavy tongue weight.
I have a video of me pushing a port-o-potty out of the way with a striper/LL. (No, I don't think anybody was inside.) I'd bet it would move it. Balance will be the problem. The tongue of the trailer is going to try to push the front of the LL down.

Nothing personal here Kris, but do you think S-W or a similar supplier of equipment is going to fix the LD or LL if you have a problem with it? I doubt it, not too many hydraulic techs there... Unless you live in a large metro area that has an actual service center, who fixes it would be the least of my concerns. With the new design compared to the old, there is hardly a thing to go wrong with them. I would have to say if a person cannot fix the basics that could go out, the starter ropes etc., they probably should be in phone sales or something
We've put hundreds if not thousands of miles on four LL machines since 1998. Other than routine parts replacements (chains, batteries, tires) I've only had one significant problem.... a transmission failure due to me running it low on oil. Electric start is priceless.
Since the year 2000, we have put down 1,014 miles of paint. This is only the amount of paint placed not total distance traveled with the Lazy Liners & Line Driver. I would easily say the distance traveled would be 3X the amount of paint placed which means over 3000 miles on them. With several Lazy Liners and a Line Driver, we have never had to do more than normal maintenance - well, maby we had to weld a frame because of crashing backward into a curb one time too many. These are well built pieces of equipment and with proper care will last many many years without major repairs.
One good thing about Lazy Liner is if something does go wrong and you call, guess who answers the phone? Dave, the guy you bought it from. Always there to help and ships parts when he says he will. I've had the original Lazy Liner now for 8 years. It has needed work, but Dave was always there for advice and help. I also have the new model and that thing is a tank, should last long time.
