I want to know how to make it... particularly the gun and trigger set up. I can figure the wheels portion out. The gun set up is just like on the striper. Just duplicate that and it should work fine. And you can do this for under fifty bucks fom Home Cheapo or Blowe's? Including trigger and all? You could use the trigger set up from your machine. would cost more to buy another trigger set up but a lot less then the side striper.

Another area where Straightline's midgets might come in handy. You could install a little seat and let him pull the trigger. I have managed to survive with an aluminum 4" x 8' line stencil for most tight situations.

Midgets need work too. I wouldn't mind using a stencil for one or two lines but the problem around here is that the apartment complexes are the size of small towns, some even have a map so you don't get lost in them, and they can have 40 or fifty cars in the way.

You know it's big when it has its own zip code.

Here in So Cal we don't have snow plowes, sanding and salt so re-stripes are a rare commodity. We usually work right behind the pavers or seal coaters while the cars are still off site. I guess we're spoiled.

Most apartment places up here are pretty 'thrifty' when it comes to lot maintenance. If I priced a re-stripe with a mini me, I would never get any jobs! Mostly I try to follow the sweeper after they get done. There always seems to be dead cars or cars with flat tires left on site. Last time I did a large apartment place there were so many cars I couldn't even think about working! The second trip up, there were half as many but still ALLOT of cars. The apartment manager called in 9 tow trucks. You should have seem them come out running to move their cars then!! Like roaches when you turn a light on!! It was funny. Seems those People are just lazy and chose to ignore the postings of "Lots will be swept and painted, do NOT park in the lot"

Apartments I've done have been the same way. They don't mess around they call in the tow trucks and get it done. A large company with trailers I could see them paying an upcharge rather than paying for return trips.

Around here every town has it's own rules about towing so it's not always an option.

Yeah that's what I figure too. A couple months ago... a sealcoat company asked me to go over and ask the tow truck driver who happened to be sitting a couple lots over to move a couple cars. I told him... why don't YOU do it? He said nevermind and never did ask him.

I figured its private property and part of the tenant landlord agreement.

They would have to be in violation of a legally posted rule, paying rent gives them a right to park in a parking space.

I would never be the one to call a tow truck. And like Jimbo said some people just ignore signs like they ignore cones and safety vests.
