First RandyV made a tool for painting the rounded ends of double stripes. Then JPanz improved on it, and has a video of his cool tool. Visit the Home Page of PLP and go to the Helpfull Hints section for that and other great ideas. Here's a link to the page: radius tools

Thats me running the gun. We did 150 of these things and only hit my shoe once. It took me and a helper about 20 minutes to paint. JIm

Jim, Could you post close up pictures that show the details of how you put that together. I'm not sure, but it looks like you rigged up a cable from the trigger of one gun (top) to the other (bottom). That thing works great! I want one!

Someone made a post today about paint date codes. I used to be able to read the SW date code (may still be able to, just haven't tried lately) and I think it would be a good "Tip" if everyone would chime in with how to decipher the dates codes for the various manufacturers. Knowing how to read the code might save you from "showing up at a gunfight with a knife" if you can point out to your dealer he is selling you old crap. (always haggle) Here are some of the manufacturers it would be good to have codes for (chime in on any others) SW ICI/Aexcel Diamond Vogel Roadway/Coronado Ennis Franklin Porter Warren With everyone's permission, I will consolidate all the posts into one post for brevity in a week or two...

Sherwin Williams codes is pretty simple. The first three numbers are the number of days after January 1. The fourth and fifth number is the year. 01250 is January 12 of 2005. Jim
