Quoting chitown, April 28, 2013 (that post is not in this thread):

I have done some Federal jobs where they are real picky about layout showing off, i have an inspector that make us power wash the lay out showing off the lines That would be an inspector being an ars and I would have challenged him on it, he is not a god, he does not get to create rules on the fly. No federal or state rule that says layout marks have to be hidden or removed. The point of road markings is traffic control and safety not beatification. In Texas you don't put any paint or thermo down until the inspector has approved the layout and that may be a week after you lay it out, if you don't use paint then there may not be any layout marks for him to inspect by the time he gets to it.

Oh yea I know, he was a pain, but I was doing that job under a contractor, and he said if you don't remove that lay out you won't get paid, so we just made the guy happy, I know exactly what you saying but you know they can be an ars. We done quite a few TXDOT jobs, and they don't really care about the layout showing,

I did and I was not vibing with the local sales rep. Besides, the closest store is simply too far. I went with Highway Technologies for a little bit but am back with SW now. SW has since rectified the problem. They have been working well with us. Freebies is a good way to win business.

Are you in San Antonio or Austin? We have a store in both cities where you can pick up paint. Sorry about not vibing with the local sales guy. Was it Kuy or Jason? You won't have to deal with a rep if you want to purchase the paint in the store. Give me a heads up if you would like to go in one of our locations and I will make sure you have a great experience.

That's great NC! I'm not sure if you are buying our paint locally or if you are having it shipped from the plant but we have some new store locations in North Carolina - Burlington, Charlotte and Fayetteville.

Neither. His name was Rick. He said the paint comes from the warehouse in San Antonio. His store is in Wimberly, quite a distance from me. I'm located in North Austin.

If you have any mechanical knowledge at all you can change the clutches yourself..just make sure you get the clearances right. and i read you put an 50' 1/4 inch hose with a short 3/8 whip hose on the end...well if i read that right you are backwards..all machines require atleast a 50' hose. anything 3900 and up should be 50' 3/8 and a 6' 1/4" whip hose on the end. all fittings must be stainless also. if you are running a 3400 then you can run just a 50' 1/4 inch hose rightto the gun

I know its not the right hose, im getting to it. LOL as far as the clutches go, all seams fine, no issues that ive found. the hose and the engine mount bushings are getting replaced if I can get a break, maybe dec or jan.
