Here are some pictures on what happens when a paint paint can rolls and hits a battery used for night lighting. A very expensive lesson learned.

Ouch! Look at it this way... at least no one got hurt, your trailer is still in one piece and not a total loss. Good thing the gas cans werent right next to the battery!

What a scene. Have a good painting friend that lost his entire paint shop three nights ago due to a compressor problem. Lost everything and melted trailers that where 25 ft. away loaded with finished material. Under insured on shop and no insurance on 75 thousand in equipment. Makes me nervous as we just opened our shop two weeks ago.Hpoe all is well with you.

This should be an eye opener to all of us. Check your insurance and inventory all your tools. Keep a list in a different location.

Jim, Please put a larger version in the gallery so it's easier to see. I integrated it because Robert is thing to get away from photos here and get them in the gallery where they show up better and can be cataloged & organized better as time goes by. I got the bugs out of the integration, if you are logged in here you are already logged in when you go there.

Luckily I only lost all my stencils and the wiring in the trailer. We had 5 striper and 2 riders in the trailer. But since the fire was on the opposite side of the trailer than the machine, once the fire was out the F.D. let us roll the machines out. Picked up with our other trailer and went back out that night. Everyone should check there policy to see if your stencils are covered. We lost close to $3000.00 in stencils. Now for an extra $100.00 per year we are covered. The worse part is the trailer was 5 weeks old. Jim

Gosh a big wake up call for all of us. I would have gone in a blind panic sending me straight down the pub and not out to work the same night! At least no-one was hurt.
