I have a customer who has a parking garage with concrete pillars that are round and measure 64" in diameter. Does anyone have a source for some sort of protectant / cover that can be placed over these to protect them from being gurfed up when they are run into. The customer is mostly interested in the fact that he wants them to be seen but might consider another option other than painting them. Any ideas?

I have seen collumns in parking ramps / garages wrapped with 1/8" Polyethylene sheet in safety yellow. I do not know where to purchase it but it did make them stand out and gave at least surface protection of smaller bumps by vehicles. Maybe try a google search for column protector, column cover or column wrap
