as some of you already know I'm a die hard air atomized striping fan but the graco i saw the other day did have a feature i would like to add on to my striper, the front wheel has the cable that you can pull the trigger and it lets the wheel pivot. Has anyone ever tried to adapt this or do you know of a "kit" that I can buy?

You can buy the "FatTrack" front castor wheel kit from Graco. The kit comes with the castor wheel assy, cable, cable pull lever and a set of handle bar grips. I replaced the castor on my Titan 6000 with one, I'll eventually put pics and write something up on it in the gallery. The kit was 386.00 which is a fantastic deal from what I have seen them going for, usually around 406.00. Go for it, I would like to do the same to my MB's. What air machine do you use?
I'm using a JCL hrl1 with a 7 gal tank the things are indestuctable but those radius turns can be fun I looked at a graco awhile back but listening to everyone here talk about using different tips, hourglassing, pressure issues and other things, just seems like a waste just to get a crisp line, don't get me wrong they do look good but I don't think anyone but a striper would notice. I hit the ground striping and don't have any worries maybe one of these days i'll switch

f you are running a gun that is fix at the front your radius work will be tough. You can set it up to do radius work similar to the airless machines very easy, and for cheap. I bet the way I have mine built it didn't cost more than a six pack of beer, after getting one set-up I can even paint the wheels of HC logo no problem...
Front casters (wheels that pivot) are (to me) a waste. I will be having several extras laying around soon (including 2 fat tracs) because I will be removing the front wheels from all of my machines. My locking gizmo that connects the Lazyliner to the striper works great. I will be uploading pics probably tomorrow.
If you are using the old air machines you must not ever spray water borne paints. I could not get water borne thru the air stripers with out thinning so thin it was worthless paint. I use almost 100 percent water borne paint with my Graco.
I own 3 JCL machines and love them. The machine just runs and runs. Drop it off a cliff, start the machine and start striping. But I did just buy a Graco 3900 because we need to start doing more double lines. I'm hoping it's as easy as everyone here boasts about.

The topic was a front wheel. I'll bite though, I do not recall having to thin latex paint thru my air machine and I used it over coal tar as necessary with great results contrary to what I was lead to believe for years. There are limitations and I prefer oil based paints, air machines or airless.
If you are using the old air machines you must not ever spray water borne paints. on the contrair, I stripe 85% of my work over coal tar sealer and use latex all the time my tank pressure is 30-32 and air pressure is 95-100, never thin paint
I added a Fat Track to my 3500. Kept the Accu track wheel that pivots. Have not found a use for it. If you interested let me know. There I belive there are four through boltsmounting it to a plate on opposite side. The cable is mounted on a plate with two bolts.
