My Graco 3900 LL2 sometimes will start backing pressure up against the pressure release valve, moving the valve back against the holding nut. It knocks back and forth like this about once every 2 seconds. During this it will spray way more paint than the pressure is set for, even when not blowing against the release valve. SOMETIMES I CAN SET THE PRESSURE LOWER WHEN IT STARTS DOING THIS,A ND IT WILL STOP. Is it just the vavle or is something wrong with the pressure circuit also.
Pressure Valve going out?

Striping Buddy, That valve serves two functions, a manual relief/prime valve and an emergency relief valve. The emergency relief is set at about 4500 PSI. I think that is what you are seeing, especially with you description of it relieving every two seconds and jumping around. I would get it to a service center asap and not play around. Based on your description of dumping every two seconds and jerking around, I suspect circuit board.
you mean haven't finished paying. and dude, this is my graco LL2 i bought 3 years ago, not something new...what are they still selling new LL2'S?? If you want to say something to me Ken, e-mail me. and don't forget the numerous other times i offered to come help you when you were backed up with work, to pay off the machine faster than cash i didn't have. Your wife e-mailed me to come do that and you said ok...then decided you had caught up, because the general was giving you more time to finish your big project. There is no problem in finishing to pay the machine....but you won't contact me back. It even goes deeper but we should continue this in phone conversation, so if i call answer the phone please.
No e-mail address, no telephone #, no state (I heard you are in Florida.). No way to contact except here. Talked to MB? You made the deal with me. Two years plus and all I have is the down payment. Get real. If your want, you can call me. You have my number. You could give me your # and/or a physical location. I'll be glad to come and get the balance.... even if it is in Florida. The last time we talked I told you I wanted the striper back. Its the principle, not the amount.
These forums have a private messaging feature. Just click on any user's name and you have the option to send them a private message through the forums. If email or other contacts are not public you can always use this feature for this type discussions. Personal meassages about "call Me I have a used striper you can borrow" or topics like the last two posts are better left for private messages. To anybody else visiting the forums it's just two people they may not know arguing over a deal they don't know about, so it burns forum space with something unrelated to the forum topic which is "anything to do with paint on pavement". The advanced private message system available now was not available on the other forums, you guys gave me a good opportunity to point it out. PS: For the rest of you it's also great if you want to ask somebody to explain a post in more detail or whatever without hesitating because you might think you were the only one who didn't understand the post. The Private Message system is a really useful feature...if you make use of it...
Thanks Don. I thought it was important in this case. I understand I'm not the only one he's short changed. Maybe this will save others similar losses. I'd be truly shocked if he calls but I'll let you know. I can't remember the last control board I had to replace.....wait a minute.... Speeflo's don't have one.
