For lots that have double stall lines....do you guys just simply double the price or do you give a little break on pricing? Also, for half circle ends...do you price it like a small stencil? I've only done one small lot before with them and they sucked...now I have to do a 400 stall lot.
Pricing double stall lines

If the lines are a consistent distance apart so we can make one pass using two guns we charge a little less for second line. If they are not consistent and need to be sprayed indivally we don't discount. Don't forget to charge for the curved end. Jpanz makes a tool for them and if you do a search you will find a vidio of it. We copied his idea and made one. Sure beats the stencils.

Yep, a line is a line, price per gallon doesn't change any and the possibility that the spacing between lines being consistent is slim because they guy that did it the first time probably didn't use a double gun. No need to discount half the job because they are already use to paying double for this kind of work and we don't want to encourage lower prices, the weekend warriors and get rich quick guys do enough of that.
I am speaking from recent experience when I say to determine if the lines are spaced consistently FIRST... Luckily my project is an upper class place, and I was able to explain that the last painters spacing was all over the place, but if they allowed me to spray everything consistently they would end up with a much better finished product as the older visible edges fade away in the next year or two.. The lines were also very crooked so they needed them straightened out anyway.. In the future I will more thoroughly check the spacing and if they are inconsistent I will let the owner know and probably just double my single price, if they wish to have them painted individually.. If they are consistent I usually only go about 50-60% on the second line. To ask double for a second line that can be sprayed with two a two gun set up doesn't really make sense to me. It doesn't add any time or labor to the job other than the end caps, and just the material is certainly not worth doubling the price. Of course, the only caps I have encountered where just straight lines connecting the two.... If you have little half circles on every stall that should definitely be worth something..

Here is a video I found that was posted awhile back showing how easy it is to do the the arc at the end of double lines https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1kYvznPP0Y

Thats me about twelve years ago. That machine was a graco 5000. The newer version on the loop makers is a one man operation.
