Does anybody Know who makes sealmaster's paint and have you used it. My sealmaster Rep. is after me to try and use it, but I would like any feedback before I give it a try. The only reason I'm considering it is because I can get a good price, but price isn't everything.

There was a job that came up last year for a county housing apartment and a someone from sealmaster had got someone in the county to make that paint the spec. and when we got the job we had to convience them that if sealmaster has a 1952b it has to be made by everybody. Seeing that paint is a federal spec I still had to convience the people from the county that I could use another companys paint. In the end I had to get the MSDA Sheets on both the products and so we could finish the job. Because I doubt that they could offer discounts like many of the other companys. -Dean
Sealmaster makes their own paint at their plant in Sandusky, OH. I took a tour of their facilities a few years ago and saw the paint plant. I don't think that it gets talked about much on here but Sealmaster paint is actually pretty good. I use SW paint almost exclusively, but have on occasion had Sealmaster throw on a few buckets of their paint when I order a truck load of sealer. To be honest, I have found it to be as good or better than the SW. I sprays good, it definately lasts, and the color is good on all the paints. I've never used their "premium" traffic paints but find that the regular is good enough. If you have a chance, give it a try. I don't recall it being much different in pricing than SW.
