How far do you guys set your glass bead dispenser door opening Do you use a feeler gauge or how do you get the right amount of beads to drop out without wasting them??? Thanks in advance,,,,,,,,Wahoo

A dime for light beads, quarter for heavy.

Weigh them. Tape a plastic bag over the dispenser and run (start the engine and roll the Line Lazer) for 15 seconds (times 4) or 60 seconds. Weigh the bag. Others have simply put a pan under the dispenser without moving and weigh the contents. In either case adjust the doors to the desired volume of beads. BTS, may have the simplest approach and most repeatable.

I have only used glass beads once but they kept plugging up and would not freely keep the dispensing tube full. Any suggestions to make sure the beads are always dropping as desired? Thanks

Make sure you keep your beads stored in a dry place and make sure the tube going to the dispenser has a downward pitch the entire way. They should flow without a problem.

How many pounds should you have in 60 seconds?

...the question should be how many pounds per gallon? 8 lbs. per gallon here. BUT as long as you get good even coverage..thats what counts.

Wahoo, if you use a 1 GPM tip you set the bead flow for whatever bead flow is required per gallon ( 6, 8, ?). A 1/2 GPM tip 1/2 the flow as the 1 gpm. You can flow rate the tip into a measured beaker (?) or simply estimate the flow by the tip size from a chart.

any links to that chart?

make the hoses as short as possible, also I pop the back of the hopper up and back a little in the holder so they come out in a more downnward position

PLP has one right here in Helpful Hints that will certainly get you close. Flow rates are to the right side of the chart.
