I'm hoping it's just growing pains with the unfortunate need to get a new manager up to speed due to health reasons at my local store, but if they need more help they should get it soon. Besides messing up invoices repeatedly, I have been waiting for a bead dispenser for two months. A few weeks ago I asked where my caster cable was since it had been on order for a month before. The response was that they were going to wait until the dispenser was ready to ship and send it all together. (They had no idea when that would be!) They sent that cable by itself and it turned out to be a trigger cable instead of a caster cable. Re-ordered. Today I was loading up to go out of town for some road work since the weather was looking clear for a couple of days (we haven't had dry weather for a while) started loading up my latest order of paint only to find they shipped the wrong stuff and haven't got the right paint in stock!!! Now I'm not going to that job until next week if the right paint shows up. I will have to call my local rep to discuss since I don't think it's right to keep hounding the store manager if they are understaffed due to SW's policies. Rcan, if your reading, do you guys have similar issues down there? I'm thinking it's just my store, but you never know. Andrew

Oh yeah! Just to top it off, I noticed an invoice that I normally don't see because my wife does the books, and the pricing was out of wack. I started looking back at past invoices and found three different price increases over a 14 month period and not once was I given the courtesy of a phone call. I did get the pricing corrected again and have since tightened up my end of the ship, but it did piss me off. Considering I purchase the most traffic paint by far from this store, I should have been given a heads up. Andrew
Yes Andrew, the local manager is the deciding factor on the efficiency of the store. I am lucky to have a great store manager who runs a very tight store (he is prior military and I believe it carrys over). I too am the largest traffic paint purchaser from his store and I am treated accordingly. Is I wasn't treated so well, I'd go elseware. Sounds to me like you need to gripe to the regional manager to get your store to begin servicing you properly. Find out who he (or she) is and contact them directly. Ordering the wrong parts or having to wait 2 months for a Graco part is probably not the fault of Graco even if the store tells you so. My guess it was not ordered in the first place by the store. I have heard horror stories about SW but am lucky enough to have a really great store that services primarily contractors by me.
Andrew, you might try these guys for parts http://www.pavecoat.com/striping_parts.html They're up north .I've talked to them on the phone and they seem to know their stuff. Personally, I use Silverado Repair, here in Fort Worth, Texas. Ask for Jesse [phone removed] or Centerline Supply(they stock more stuff) [phone removed]. Good Luck, Dwayne
Andrew down here in Niagara Falls is the same have be waiting for a part for 10 months .They just seem to shrug it off I guess they no longer want machine sales? Pricing is consistent at this location , have your rep lock in the prices in the computer with your paint codes and customer number should help the problem.
you have to check all invoices, got my line driver last week .got the invoice this past Saturday, man their quick sending the bill out. needless to say they are not showing on the invoice i put down payment on the linedriver, called out SW , said i have to call back Monday manager will be in ... should not be a problem have all paper work... its a good thing i look at all invoices, if you would have a accountant paying your invoices, could be over looked real easy.. CHECK EM ALL
My local SW tried to charge me $47 per gallon on Hotline White. $ 235 a 5. They could not find it on the computer where we had bought it in the past. I pay less for Hotline than I pay for CR. I had to go home and get a receipt showing where we had bought some 3 weeks before. We to have had the problem ordering tips, cables, packing kits, etc. Our last BS with them was waiting 45 days for tips, and the morons wanted to charge us an extra $25 for "overnight" shipping charges.
I guess I'm lucky with my SW store. Never any of those problems, decent prices, and great service. Guess it all depends on the store manager. Good thing because they are the ONLY place to get traffic paint from locally and this in a major metro area.
