try a power equipment dealer that sells Shindaiwa. I believe shindaiwa doesn't allow sales over the internet, support your local dealer.

I have a nice RedMax power broom, so you might try a RedMax dealer too...

I paid $769.00 plus tax for mine, to give you a ballpark figure of what you should be paying. My PM supplier is normally on the high side of price, but being they used to have it marked at $829 i felt it was a deal.

Is $769 for a 2 stroke Shindaiwa PB270/PB271??? I paid $609 w/ tax for my 2stroke Shindaiwa PB270. I'm looking at getting an PB attachment for my 4stroke powerhead to go with the PB270

I paid about $600 for my 2 stroke PB270 with nylon brushes. But it was 6 years ago. I have replaced the brushes 3-4 times and bought them from Ranjo's last time. I have seen them at the Expo with steel wire and with carbide impregnated nylon, but I keep getting the basic nylon brush. I heard that the steel doesn't last very long and that the carbide/nylon doesn't do pavement any better than nylon alone. It would be nice to have one with steel for those times when you really need it, but then it would also be nice to have a tiller attachment. My Shindaiwa has a lot of hours on it and it has never given any trouble. We don't even have a manual broom anymore. But don't think that it takes all the labor out of sweeping - all that power pushes back on you and it takes effort to sweep. But it sure beats the alternative. I like //STRIPES\\ Hoopiemobile©, the power broom attaches to a bracket on the lazyliner, right behind the billygoat.

I bought one 5 years ago for about 679.00 if memory servess me right and I bought one off of ebay a few years back for like 225.00 got a steal there. I have the regular nylon brush on one and the thick nylon bristles on the other one for really tearing up the rough stuff, If you do sealcoating a PB is one of the best investments you can make.
