Allied Insurance. [phone removed]. I'm a first year guy and got 2 Million in CGL coverage for $935.00 per year. That is pretty much what you will need if you stripe any of the "Big Retailers" stores. I shopped around endlessly and these folks were the Cheapest. My truck Ins with these folks is like $1400 a year for a 1 Million policy. Still the lowest price I could find!

Yikes! I just checked my policy and its actually $635 per year for the 2 Mil, CGL. I read your post and thought I have been "Snookered". That $500 is the best price ever!
I shopped quite a bit and wound up with 1 million(2million aggregate) with EMC companies thru an independent agent. Took way over a week to get a quote and the agent acted like he pulled strings to get it(not sure about all that). anyway was glad to get it for the $475 annual premium after looking all around. He had told me initially to expect around $300, but somehow that didn't work!! thinking of relocating to gulf coast, may look around for a different independent agent there later.
We have to have a $10 million insurance cover for working on malls etc that by the way are American owned how come you all only need a $2 million insurance. We can't even get on a site unless we have site safe certs, which means we have to regularly attend Construction Safety courses and get issued with photograph I.D if you don't have the I.D you don't get in. I have seen many a company turned away from a site for not having the required safety certificates. We pay $5040 insurance yearly!!! and that's not including the safety courses we have to pay for.
