i have just completed a Target and Home Depot Bollard install with signs and posts and have never had to core drill... I use my k950 Partner saw and cut a 12" inch square. All you have to do is back fill with conrete (with some slope) and finish with a couple of trowels... I usually rent an auger for the depth of the bollard and post... Ryan
We did a large sign job for a bunch of Smith's stores (Kroger Inc.) and had a concrete company come out and core ahead of us, then we rented an auger to dig down. The process went much easier than I thought, and left a nice cut in the concrete, that we just filled in with the post mix.
i charge 450.00 to contractors for Bollards... A handicap with galvanized post/hardware/bollard and concrete i will try to charge 500.00.. If there are more than 4 or 5 handicaps with bollards i will stay around 450.00 each. It all depends on the quantity and the customer... i definately try not to go any less than 450.00 for hc with a steel bollard... Thanks, Ryan
I core drill 12'' holes and dig out under the asphalt to depth and width and now ones complained yet. Home depot or wally world.I charge 45.00 ea. to core . it averages 245.00-325 per sign plus the 45.00 core fee. thats what I get .market values vary place to place
So,would it be easier to cut a 12 inch hole and dig out underneath it 18 inches, this just seems like a lot more trouble than cutting a bigger hole and using an 18 inch auger bit, however it probably wont look as good with the bigger hole, but there are 47 of these,17 in dirt,27 in asphalt and 3 in concrete.I was thinking about subbing out the coring.
